Gift of TODAY

Today is August 31/ 2025. The only August 31, 2025 I will ever have IN MY LIFE. The only August 31/2025 you will ever have IN YOURs.

When my head hits the pillow at the end of this once in a lifetime day, what would my quick reflection say. I think it’s good at the end of each day, to look for the good. I find it is best to go to sleep with my good memories of the day.

Now those are not usually front page events. Rather those things that touched your heart. Now I personally look at my day as a gift from God, but that’s not the subject of this post. Just be grateful for this once in a lifetime day. you have just traded 24 hours, or 1440 minutes of your life for.

I am going to try and make a new habit of gratitude and try to unwrap each day as a gift.

Philippians 4:8. This verse instructs us to focus our minds on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and if there is any virtue or praise, think on those things.

IF WE LOOK THERE IS ALWAYS A THING OR TWO!!! Think of the best thing in that gift box called today!

When I think of one of the hardest days of my life, when I said Goodbye to my daughter Autumn.

It reminds me of an OLD TV announcement that came on just before the 10 o’clock news. It said IT IS 10 pm DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE?

That night as I lay my head on my pillow I could answer that Question with all confidence. Do You Know Where Your Children are?

YES I DO!! YES I DO!!

I am not saying make up some phony emotion. Just want to remind us to perhaps begin looking a little harder at the Gift called today.

Here is to pondering your day & resting well!

Blessings! Thanks for Reading!

yes! Each dayIS a gift! Handle it with Prayer, right?

as we age & loose are loved ones, it shows that none of us is immortal, right? When we fall & get hurt is another reminder. I grew the closest to God after the loss of my husband & I’m so glad that He is my everything.
thank you for being you & always pointing me to Him!
