Hello! Happy Sunday
Just a quick update on the preparations for the move. The piles…give away, pack away, send away.
In Sun Prairie we have this awesome drive though drop off at Vinnies. You pull up and the sensor signals the door, it magically opens and people appear from somewhere behind the curtain, they unload and Wala!! The other big door opens and off you go.
Amazing how fast things disappear when you set them out with a FREE sign.
As they will tell you in any and every estate planning, Will Writing seminar YOUR KIDS DON’T WANT YOUR STUFF!!! They are all out working hard to buy their own stuff, to fill their basements, closets and spare rooms.
I told my 25-year-old grandson that someday I would stop by and visit. To which he replied call first grandma, we are not home much because we are out working to pay for more stuff that we don’t or won’t have time to enjoy, so we store it all in our 3 bedroom storage unit that sits on 2 acres that we are also planning to enjoy when we get done paying for all our stuff.😊
I decided I wasn’t going to play go meet a friend at the local Kwik Trip for 6 or 7 boxes game. So, I just bought a couple of bundles.
We have all heard it quoted “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.” I have another quote that you soon realize. Mom’s treasures can very often be to your kids JUNK! Some members are gentler at expressing that. 😊
I have found things of Jims, and I have found things of Autumns. Some make you laugh others make you cry. Some you can’t remember when, others you can’t remember why.
The good news is my new home has no basement to store too many things, the bad news is I have no basement to store more things.
Two things the Lord has reminded me of during this time is #1 this move has more to do with people, than it does with stuff. #2 I gave you the ability to remember because I knew you would not always be able to keep the people and the things that meant so much to you as close as you desire.
I gave you the gift of memory so you can store them all in your heart. I gave your heart a very large capacity.
I can tell you from working with people that have dementia, or a traumatic brain injury or Alzheimer’s. Just because they could no longer express things with their lips, it didn’t mean they didn’t still hold them in their hearts.
My daughter Sara and granddaughter Kaci have been here once a week and spent some very long days. The other day someone ask what I was doing that day, and I said “the girls will be hear in awhile to help. I no longer got that phrase pass my lips and it hit me hard. “The girls was a phrase that for over 46 years had meant Autumn and Sara”. It felt almost wrong to use it for anyone else.

THE GIRLS as they danced at Autumn’s Benefit!!
But I am truly glad the girls are coming again on Tuesday. Still a few tender spots.
My prayer is that Kaci feels like she is home for ever how long it takes for her to get on her feet to best be able to care for herself and Wren.
I want her to feel like it’s her home, not like she is living at Grandma’s house. New adventures for us all. Not sure if I said before that I am moving to Spencer, about 7 miles north of Marshfield.
Two weeks from today I will be sitting at my New House. Hoping to give you a short update.
Just have to post this puzzle piece, because it’s still true!

Blessings! Thanks for reading!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
