Autumn Update

3 Generation Chemo day Photo… Sorry Autumn 🙂

For those new to my Blog Page, this is an update post regarding my oldest daughter Autumn Joy, age 48 that is battling Stage 4 stomach Cancer.

Autumn update. She had flu like symptoms last week, tested negative for covid. But it was decided that it would be best to postpone this dose of chemo for another week, to be safe. So she will have it this Wednesday. She does have some chest congestion going on. Her hope is that will clear by Wednesday. She sounds and is feeling better than she was a week ago. She has lost a lot of body hair in the past 2 weeks. Her eyebrows and lashes are getting thinner each day. She was very OK with the armpit, and leg hair falling out 😊

We meet with the oncologist also on Wednesday, where we will discuss scheduling of upcoming scans. These are the 3-month scans to see if the chemo has had any effect on the cancer. The last scan three months ago showed no change in stomach cancer, but felt the pelvis and abdomen were less clouded. I guess that is a good sign.

Her spirit is good. She just keeps encouraging everyone that stops by with any problems.

It was supposed to be a sure thing that she would be able to get Medicaid and disability, being her cancer is stage 4. A month ago, she was told that it was a for sure thing, and that it was being expedited, and she could check on progress online. That was a month ago and as of Friday it had been 11% completed. Estimated completion and installation 8 months.

She being a cover all your bases kind of a girl, has chosen her burial spot.

As far as Autumn’s mother goes, I know that my God is able to do far over and above anything I can ask or think. I trust my God, but I also live in the reality that sometimes those you love die.

They did well financially from the benefit. I told her she can put the money in the bank, by the time she dies she will have collected so much interested, she will die a millionaire in 40 years. 😊

I am having an endoscopy tomorrow morning. This is the fourth time it has been scheduled. The first 2 times it was cancelled because I was in AFIB. The last time they said they would do it if my heart rate was below 100, even if it’s irregular. They put me on the monitor, and it would not stay below 120. My heart med has doubled since then, so we will see. I have been having trouble feeling like food is getting stuck. I have had a hiatal hernia for many years. I just thought with my family history, it would be wise to get it checked out.

Have a great week everyone.

Blessings!  Thanks for reading!
