Our pains today can be so very hard, and at times they may seems totally unbearable. Without God , friends and family, they may very well be.
There will come a time when each of those injuries/pains will be represented by a scar. Some scars are visible, others maybe are too small, or in a place others can’t see. But your scars will be a forever part of your story. Every scar has a story of it’s own. Each one tells of an injury, or possibly a medical procedure. But within each scar there is also a story of healing.
Sometimes aging causes the scars to become less noticeable. But they will forever be a part of our story.
When someone has been a big part of our lives, they, like the scar will always be a part of your story. They will always be a part of who we are. We will say things they said, and do the things they did. When people meet you and me, and hear us talk, they just see it as who we are. In truth it is from another piece of fabric, another life, another story.
As I walk through life, I am reminded that first I was made in the image of God. Added to that tapestry are threads of many colors and lengths. Each stand came from a different fabric, a different time, each with it’s own story. Yet nothing is out of place, not one thread or story has been wasted. Each strand has been woven exquisitely. The dark colors in our tapestry are as important to the final picture as are the bright and beautiful.
Our scars each tell a story with a beginning, a middle and an end. Each scar is another thread in the tapestry Known as US!
